This lovely recycled cardboard Christmas Town scene looks great in a window or as part of a display. We re-used a large cardboard box for this large scene but you could use smaller boxes and piece them together.

You will need:
- Cardboard box
- Craft knife or Stanley knife
- Scissors
- Pencil
- White paint
- Glitter
- Twigs
- Battery operated fairy lights
First, draw your town onto the flattened cardboard. Adding windows, door and bricks for details. Once you are happy with your design – start cutting it out! This can be quite tricky and your fingers/cutting hand will ache after a while – especially if the cardboard is quite thick.
Once your scene is all cut out, you can start adding white acrylic paint as an additional snowy detail to the roof tops, chimneys and windows.
Top Tip: Dry brushing the white paint on gives a lovely effect. We also added a little glitter to the snowy areas which adds extra sparkle!
We, dressed our scene with twigs and fairy lights! You could add a nativity scene and little people too.
