Toilet roll tubes are ideal for simple crafts. From characters to Christmas decorations and crackers to car garages and castles – recycling these everyday household items is a great way to start crafting. Here, we made Ninja Turtles!
First, we went on a hunt for the finished toilet roll tubes! I always keep a stash in the garage but the kids love looking for them too. We painted them green using ready mix paint. Let them dry.
We then tied a piece of ribbon around the roll and glued on wobbly eyes. Using various sizes and at various angles gives the character!
Finishing them off just involves a black Sharpie Pen to draw on a mouth and any details. Simple as that!
