Egg Box Flower craft

Egg Box Flower craft perfect for mother's day

Egg box flowers are so simple, and yet so beautiful. Once made, the flowers can be used in a variety of ways. Find out below how we made ours and what you can do with them.

Save your Egg Boxes up, and then when you have enough, simply cut out each of the egg compartments.

Cut down each individual piece to make petals – rounding the edges off as you go. Children can then paint and decorate them how they like.

Glue the flowers to decorated lolly sticks to give to parents, carers or grand parents as gifts. They make ideal birthday, Easter or Mother’s Day gifts. Get your child to write a personalised note on a little tag and add that too.

String the flowers together and hang them from an embroidery hoop to create a beautiful mobile. Or, for a large school class room display project, you could hang them from a hoop from the ceiling. This would make an ideal ‘back to school’ whole class activity – with each child making several flowers to add to the hoop.
